Alunda School Project by: Childrens inspiration
Alunda school is located in Maraba Town in Kakemega, Kenya. Its principal is Nancy Kerubo alongside two teachers Ivy MMbone, Demaris Matia, and a lunch lady Hellen Achondo. It currently has a active enrollment of nearly 30 students ranging from 1month to 10 years of age. The school was recently started and is in the process of receiving accreditation. Problems that have arose are those dealing with permanent structures and cribs for the children under the age of two years. Curriculum is taught introduction to the alphabet and sentence writing. Children 3 years and above are learning to read and write. Buidling materials are needed for a fence 65ftby65ft. Also lumber and tin needed for the 20 by 45 foot structure.
